La Flor Dominicana Ligero Oscuro cigars are wrapped using some of the darkest, richest Ecuadorian Sumatra wrappers anywhere. Beneath is the same nucleus of pure Dominican tobaccos grown on La Flor Dominicana's farm in La Canela, Dominican Republic used for the La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero.
Named for the strain of leaf called "ligero," which is a strong and peppery type of tobacco which gives many full-bodied cigars their oomph. As you might imagine from the name, La Flor Dominicana's Ligero series is a strong, spicy and full-bodied smoke.
Cigar Aficionado blessed this cigar with a high 90 saying: "A very oily, dark wrapper covers this cigar. Buttery, cedary notes even out to show sweet spice, leather and earth before a wood finish."
Hands down one of the DR's finest cigars, the seasoned palate will enjoy a thick, full-bodied smoke with tons of depth and rich, tangy tobacco flavor that never overpowers. Try a box now!
